Personal Injury Car Accidents

 Auto Accidents:

Jon Wise D.C, CACCP, owner of Wise Chiropractic: Family Wellness Center, has successfully treated 1,000's of individuals who has received injuries due to an automobile accident or personal injury. Dr. Wise has also completed a post doctorate fellowship/certification in pediatric chiropractic. Dr. Wise is very knowledgeable with treating children who were involved in auto accidents.

The kinetic energy generated from even low-speed accidents can cause microscopic muscle and ligament tears, as well as vertebral misalignments. Proper treatment of these injuries is important not only to relieve immediate pain, but also to prevent future problems from reoccurring.

If your auto insurance policy has Medical Payments (Med Pay) coverage, this coverage will likely cover 100% of your necessary medical treatment (up to the policy limit), no matter who is at fault for the accident. Use of your Med Pay coverage to get proper medical care when you are not at fault for the accident can be done without worrying about your rates going up. Please note that if you have Med Pay coverage through your auto insurance policy, your regular medical insurance provider will generally require the Med Pay coverage to be used/exhausted before it will cover injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

If you are injured in an automobile accident while a passenger in another person's vehicle, you should obtain that person's automobile insurance information. If that person has Med Pay coverage, It will cover your medical care (up to the policy limit). Alternatively, it may be possible to have your own Med Pay coverage cover your medical expenses even though your vehicle was not involved in the accident. You should always check with your insurance agent as to your coverage.

It is the office policy to accept Medical Insurance Liens from Attorneys, Primary Insurances and Third Party Insurance Companies (Depending on the Insurance Company or Attorney). If you do not have car insurance, we can still treat you at an affordable time of service fee. Please Call our office to schedule your appointment today or Click Here. (702) 248-6292

Whiplash

What is whiplash?

Personal injury is a term often used to describe an injury most commonly caused by a car accident. It may also include other types of injury such as a slip or fall. Whiplash is most commonly associated with rear-end car collisions in which the heads of those in the front car are suddenly snapped back and forth by the impact. It is more accurately called cervical acceleration/deceleration (CAD) trauma or syndrome, which describes the rapid movements that can injure the vertebrae of the neck and the muscles and ligaments that support them.

Who suffers from whiplash?

Anyone can be subjected to whiplash, even in a low-force car crash at speeds as low as 5mph. But injuries associated with whiplash can also result from other mishaps in which the head is pushed or jerked beyond its normal range of motion. Whiplash most commonly causes serious and lingering neck pain, but there may also be back pain, headaches and dizziness. Inasmuch as bruising of the brain can sometimes occur in auto accidents and similarly severe causes of whiplash, some victims have experienced blurred vision, ringing in the ears, nausea and numbness.

What can chiropractic do?

The sudden accident that caused the whiplash in the first place may fade into memory, but the physical and psychological damage of whiplash can become chronic, eroding a victim's quality of life. Chiropractic techniques and chiropractors' skills are particularly well-suited to relieving the neck pain and other debilitating effects of whiplash because they can

  • restore movement lost after the accident,
  • overcome muscle weakness and enhance muscle tone,
  • speed recovery, and
  • diminish chronic symptoms that can persist or recur over many years.

Repeated and effective chiropractic adjustments have proved successful for many thousands of patients. Chiropractic can, in many cases, significantly reduce patients' distress and allow them to return to their normal activities rather than seeing themselves as invalids--as so many whiplash victims do long after their accident.
